Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services has immediate opportunities for recovery specialists – Addiction Treatment Services to join its growing team at the Tewksbury Treatment Center – a 32-bed detoxification program dedicated to helping individuals go through withdrawal from alcohol and/or other drugs and alleviate symptoms. If you want to be a positive presence in the lives of others who are struggling with addiction, this is the position for you!  As a recovery specialist, you will provide medical and emotional support during one of the most pivotal stages in the recovery process. 

• Ensure the safety and structure of the program milieu by monitoring client activities
• Observe and supervise clients and unit; conduct 30-minute client well-being checks
• Conduct telephone admission screenings as well as other admissions duties
• Search client belongings on admission and at discharge, or as otherwise directed by the supervisor
• Complete all necessary checklists, shift documentation, and record-keeping in a timely manner in accordance with agency policies and procedures

In addition to a high school diploma, ideal candidates will have a valid state of Massachusetts driver’s license in good standing. Experience working with a substance use population is preferred.
